    2. Minnesota Basketball – Updated Record Books

    3. Other; Girls Assn., Corporate Sponsors, Hall of Honor

                                                              i.       New Balance a possibility as a sponsor, looking into it.

ii.      Summer Waiver stays the same, thanks to the talking points, it helped make a difference.  There was some talk that a change with amendments could get pushed through (It’s not happening for now).  This will probably come up again next year.

    1. Summer National Meeting

  1. Kevin Merkle – MSHSL

    1. Transfer Rule – There was a bill put forth in the legislature to try and block the MSHSL’s new transfer policy, looks like it may be dying but with the way the legislature works it could get attached to a bill late in the session, we will not know for sure where we are until session ends.

    2. Seedings – There will be some form of seeding taking place for the state tourney games next year, whether seeding the top 4 and randomly drawing the bottom 4 (like Hockey), or seeding all 8 (like Girls’ Basketball).  The consensus was that the boys’ favor seeding the top 4.  When teams make it to state, a representative from each team would need to attend the seeding meeting.  A tape exchange was set-up by the girls’ to alleviate the scouting concern issue.

    3. Shot Clock – If we want this passed we need representation at the MSHSL meetings.  Right now it looks like an uphill battle for next year due to financial concerns that AD’s and school districts have.  This proposal was only for 3A and 4A.

    4. – The ZK Pro Spalding is the official ball of the MBCA and we strongly encourage all high school teams in the state to use this model.

    5. Facilities – There was a concern that facility changes were going to have to be made at the last minute during our state tourney due to the Women’s NIT and the Gopher women playing at the barn.  Thankfully this was avoided but there was some last minute scrambling going on, and something we will have to pay attention to in the future.
