TRAINING CAMP LOCATION CHANGE ANNOUNCED FOR

39TH ANNUAL MINNESOTA HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR FOOTBALL GAME

The Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) is pleased to announce that the training camp for the 39th Annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game will be held for the first time at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. St. John’s University will be the 10th training camp location in the history of the Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game. Most recently, the All-Star Football training camp was held at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota from 1999 to 2011 (13 years). Read the Full Release

NCAA Initiatives on Academics and Grant Increases

Last week, the NCAA Division I Board of Directors passed several sweeping initiatives that will have a dramatic impact on college athletics. The bulk of the legislation is aimed at bolstering the academic performance of both teams and individuals. The final piece of legislation adopted by the board allows institutions to increase grants to student-athletes who receive full scholarships by $2,000 a year. Read the Full Release from Joel Maturi

Minnesota Football Coaches Association Takes Steps to Help Families, Coaches, Counselors with Recruiting

The Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) is proud to provide a new nonprofit service designed to assist families in being properly educated about the athletic collegiate recruiting process.

The Recruiting Education Foundation Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit venture, is now providing the MFCA with recruiting webinars for high school student-athletes and their families in the state of Minnesota. The webinar is available at no cost.
