2009 Hall of Fame Inductee

Pat Bowlin

Pat Bowlin is a 1978 graduate of St. Paul Harding High School. Bowlin earned his B.A. and Masters Degrees from the University of St. Thomas. Bowlin began his basketball coaching career at St. Bernard's High School in 1983. Within five years, Bowlin had taken a last place team and brought it to the state tournament. Bowlin's St. Bernard's teams were known for their full court pressure defense and fast breaking style of play, a style few teams employed in that era. Bowlin took over a 3-18 Winona Cotter program in 1991 and immediately turned the team into winners, winning 14 games his first year. The Ramblers have appeared in two state tournaments in 2001 and 2006. In 26 years of coaching, Bowlin has had only two losing seasons and has won six conference titles. Bowlin has been the Activities Director at Cotter for the last 18 years. He has also served as the head football coach for 10 years and softball coach for 18. Bowlin has coached teams to state tournament appearances in three sports, and has six state softball championships to his credit. Pat and his wife Laurie have six children.
