On Friday April 16th, we inducted four new members into the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame. 2010 is our 17th year of Hall of Fame ceremonies and we now have 77 members inducted through the years. The MGBCA is very proud to announce our 2010 inductees and thank them for their extraordinary efforts to Minnesota Girls Basketball. 2010 inductees are: Bill Gottenborg from Hawley, Rick Sczublewski from Pierz, Jon Noreen from Albany and former North Dakota State University women’s coach, Amy Ruley. Pat Barrett and the Miss Basketball Committee did another exceptional job observing our candidates for 2010. This year’s honor goes to Cassie Rochel from Lakeville North.

Lastly, I would like to thank all of you for your commitment to Minnesota Girls Basketball. It has been an honor and privilege to serve as President of the MGBCA. It’s been a great experience and an opportunity to connect with many of you throughout the state. I welcome Patty Sorenson from Park Center as the incoming President. Patty has been very active in our Association and will do a great job. Have a great summer!
