2011 COACHES OF THE YEAR
WELCOME!
The
Minnesota State High School Tennis Coaches Association is an
organization of high school tennis coaches. Membership is open
to any individual who coaches tennis in grades 7 through 12, or
any individual who is interested in high school tennis. Our
parent organization is the Minnesota State High School Coaches
Association. Founded in the early 1970's, the purpose of the
tennis coaches association and parent organization is to promote
athletic activities for girls’ and boys’ in the state of
Minnesota.
MEMBERSHIP: Join Here
Tennis
coaches don’t forget to renew your membership before your season
begins. We thank those who joined last year and were a part of
the association. We encourage you to join again and we would
love to have those who were non-members last year become part of
the coaches association. We want our association to grow. This
will give us a stronger voice.
Lifetime members: You still need to join the sports
association to be included in coach of the year and academic
honors for your team. An area we really want to grow is getting
assistant coaches to join and become involved within our
association. Please encourage your assistant coaches to become
members.
The Tennis
Coaches Association recognizes teams who have outstanding GPAs.
Teams with GPAs of 3.5-3.74, receive “Silver Academic Team”
awards, and teams with GPAs of 3.75-4.0, are recognized as “Gold
Academic Teams.”
The deadline
for academic awards, team and individual, is Monday,
October 3rd. You can find the forms on the website,
http://www.mshsca.org/tennis/, in the left hand
column. Rick Engelstad, MSHSTCA Executive Secretary, will be
sending you reminders. When ready, you can e- mail your forms to
