WELCOME!

organization of high school volleyball coaches.
Membership is open to any individual who coaches
volleyball in grades 9 through 12, or any individual
who is interested in high school volleyball. Our

in the early 1970's, the purpose of both the
volleyball coaches association and parent
organization is to promote athletic activities for
girls in the State of Minnesota. |
MEMBER
BENEFITS
2009-10 Members
As a member of the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches
Association, there are many opportunities available
to both you and your players. We currently sponsor
numerous Player Awards which include: All-State Teams for
each class, Team and Individual Academic All-State
awards, and the High School All Star Match. We also
sponsor Coaches Awards including the Win Club which
recognizes coaches who have reached benchmarks of
100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 victories as a high
school coach; the Section and State Coach of the
Year; and the Coaches Hall of Fame. Our biggest
event of the year is the annual clinic which is
usually held during the first week of August and is
attended by approximately 550 coaches.
We also represent you and the sport of volleyball at
the Minnesota State High School League recommending
and advising on rules, regulations, and policy
changes that impact volleyball. The Minnesota State
High School Volleyball Championships are held in
November each year and we give input on the
scheduling and organization of the tournament. In
the past we have successfully worked towards
allowing each team to have three tournaments as part
of the 16 match schedule, scheduling varsity matches
as three out of five contests, and expanded the
state tournament to three days.
To become a member of our organization, download the
Membership Application found in our
forms area. Please feel free to contact us with
any questions or concerns you may have.
