The immortal Bon Jovi injected a line into a song “it’s hard to find love when you’re shopping Sears”. Likewise, it’s hard to have as much fun as the 300-400 coaches who attended the 2009 clinic at St. Cloud State! Pete Waite from the University of Wisconsin was the keynote speaker whom addressed various facets that he has used to raise his volleyball program to its current height. Using the on-line registration approach was a new component that will continue to be used for upcoming clinics, too.

Laura Klingsporn, formerly of Tartan, has received one of the highest honors a volleyball coach can obtain from their peers and will be inducted into our MNVBCA Hall of Fame at the All-State Banquet this season.

At this point in the season, some teams may need a little extra motivation. If Bon Jovi was here to jumpstart your team, he’d say that even if you get “shot through the heart” with a surprising loss during the season, keep telling yourself “it’s my life” and “keep the faith”! If you keep “living on a prayer” and telling your girls that “I believe”, your team will follow your lead and “have a nice day”!
