CAMDEN DEAN Lakeville South High School

As Camden heads to Minnesota State Mankato in the fall he will take along many lessons learned from sports at Lakeville South HS. Some of the valuable life lessons he recognizes are the importance of hard work, making sacrifices, overcoming adversity, preparation, building relationships and leadership. Camden was awarded the John & Mary Erickson Scholarship.

AINSLEY HANSEN Fergus Falls High School

Past Presidents Scholarship
Ainsley was awarded the Past Presidents Scholarship to be used as she begins college at University of Wisconsin LaCrosse in the fall. She found success in sports at Fergus Falls HS by focusing on mental health, competition and hard work. She recognizes the struggles brought on by the pandemic, but by focusing on the positive aspects of athletics, she learned lessons that can carry over to the classroom and to daily life.

HAILEY BISTODEAU North Branch High School

John & Bernie Schumacher Scholarship
Through Golf at North Branch HS, Hailey learned much about resilience and staying mentally strong. These lessons will stick with her for the rest of her life. She gives credit to the North Branch community for their support. Hailey is the recipient of the John & Bernie Schumacher Scholarship. She heads to Buena Vista University in Iowa in the fall.

LUCAS KREFT Hinckley-Finlayson High School

Howard Emerson Scholarship
Lucas is a graduate of Hinckley-Finlayson HS and is the recipient of the Howard Emerson Scholarship. He feels that HS sports have taught him many valuable life lessons such as being a good leader, having a strong work ethic and how to deal with adversity. One truth he has learned is to “work smarter, not harder.” Lucas will attend the University of Minnesota Rochester in the fall.

LEAH HODGINS Chanhassen High School

Past Presidents Scholarship
As a graduate of Chanhassen HS, Leah has been involved in multiple sports since a young age. She participated in both team and individual sports including Lacrosse and Swimming & Diving. Leah credits the coaches she had over the years to shape her into the best version of herself. Leah is the recipient of the Past Presidents Scholarship and heads to Boston University this fall to continue her education.

ELEANOR KREFT Sibley East High School

Kathy Frederickson Scholarship
Ellie is a graduate of Sibley East HS and participated in Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field. She recognizes the impact that HS sports have had on her. Lessons learned include: adapting when facing adversity, the importance of community and a team, and the joy of discovering a new passion. Ellie is headed to Washington University in St Louis, Missouri in the fall. She was awarded the Kathy Frederickson Scholarship.

ASHTEN WOLFE Fosston High School

Val Teichrow Scholarship
Ashten is the recipient of the Val Teichrow Scholarship. At Fosston HS she participated in Swimming and Softball. As her father was a Football and Wrestling coach, she was involved in sports from a very early age. Sports allowed her to create a helpful heart, a sense of teamwork, commitment, belonging and drive for which she is grateful. Ashten will attend Minnesota State University Moorhead in the fall.

FAITH MONSON Schaeffer Academy

Betsy Farness Scholarship
Faith participated at the varsity level in Volleyball, Basketball and Tennis at Schaeffer academy. She also had a unique experience as she played Tennis on the Boy’s Varsity Tennis team. She will attend Cedarville University in Ohio in the fall and hopes to someday give back to her community as a coach. Faith was awarded the Betsy Farness Scholarship.

NICHOLAS WILLIAMS Owatonna High School

Steve Kerzie Scholarship
Nick is the recipient of the Steve Kerzie Scholarship. He was a 3 sport athlete for Owatonna HS. Participating in Football he learned how to handle adversity. In Basketball he learned that team success is far more important than individual success. In Baseball he learned to control his emotions. These lessons and many others have made a huge impact on his life. In the fall Nick plans to attend Saint John’s University.

CALEB BOYER Park Christian School

Darien & Mary DeRocher Scholarship
The Darien & Mary DeRocher Scholarship was awarded to Caleb. He graduated from Park Christian School and participated in Football since 4th grade. He is headed to the University of Minnesota in the fall to pursue communication and business with a goal of serving as a student coach at the college level. His future plans include a coaching career in Football. He credits his father, who was his coach and his mother for supporting his love for athletics.
